Now let me tell you something. She ultimately had hope. Depression and anxiety attacked her in almost any hallway, almost any classroom. Cafeteria had proven to be unbearable. Notice that we had hope. We looked at each option attainable and discovered a wonderful boarding school, a place where our daughter eventually felt she belonged, a place where she felt accepted. She had a wonderful psychiatrist and treatment team.
By time she walked hospital out, we all had hope.
My daughter was excited to go back to school, back to her mates.
We were thrilled to see essence in her once more. She liked her animals. It wove itself through the tiny spaces between our arms and fingers, its sinewy tendrils encasing her in darkness. While making an attempt to create a barrier that depression couldn’t squeeze into, we admired her right back, all of us wrapping our arms around her.
