Virtually, from there, I’m quite sure I followed in my mother’s footsteps and began working as an extraordinary Education teacher for nearly 10 years. I continued to influence and motivate students in need through an array of unusual professional avenues. My career has included working as a family advocate, children’s education advocate, Day Treatment outsourcing, GED instructor and program manager, and a juvenile detention worker. That said, this style retains formal authority role while enableing teachers to demonstrate their expertise by showing students what they need to understand. I incorporate various formats including lectures, multimedia presentations, class activities and discussions into any lesson. Of course, I have completed a lot of American Management Association courses and have plans to pursue a degree in Administrative Support Technology with a Specialization in Communication Management. In reality, I have worked as an administrative professional for over 25 years in several special industries.

I was promoted to Behavior position Management Coordinator, simply after demonstrating the knowledge and ability to be successful in this position and taking a leadership role within in school. I have served in several exclusive capacities at OPA, including Mental Health Intern, Behavior Specialist, OnetoOne Interventionist, Site Testing Coordinator, exceptional Education Teacher, and exceptional Education Coordinator. By the way I provide IEP support and communication to our a lot of school districts, families, and identical agencies within community who assist our students in their educational journey, As the especial Education, Intake Admissions Coordinator for Oyster Point Academy.

I have a Master’s Degree in especial Education K 12″, an extraordinary Education Teaching License, and a certification in Autism.

I am so pretty excited to be given the opportunity to incorporate my education, leadership, and passion for children and their families here at OPA.

Mostly there’s an awful lot of work to be done with our students here at Oyster Point Academy. I am looking forward to big things coming from as we continue to implement our 2015 2016 school wide goals of increasing student quality enrollment at OPA, oyster Point intensifying the community and parental involvement, and enhancing the school culture, climate, and Behavior Management Systems at OPA. We think that nearly any student has something positive to contribute to the lesson and uphold students to express their knowledge and ideas. We like to present modern material through guided group discussion and review the material on an everyday basis to provide extra reinforcement.

Students practice geography skills, their own Virginia history, United States history, and government. We feel fortunate about studying through play by having students practice and reenact those performances for all the school. Did you know that the Classroom Intervention Specialist uses a facilitatorstyle to promote self find out how to social discounts interaction.

We identify individual strength, increase assertiveness and listening skills -all to figure out how to compromise to get with others. We currently have a No Bullying initiative that we use to teach students how to respect and treat ourselves with dignity. Having that experience made me actually understand and appreciate that not all children practice similar way and may need special supports within an alternative setting. While the required especial education maintenance, one gifted, I am 2 proud parent junior men. Then once more, I realized working with children has always been my passion, whenever we started working at Oyster Point Academy. I feel a peculiar connection to our students and get everyday’s satisfaction supporting teaching team at Oyster Point Academy, as they educate our students. I think that Undoubtedly it’s our responsibility as educators to ensure all children, in spite of race, gender, or disability, are probably given almost any opportunity to be successful. Remember, I relocated to the Northern Virginia area after working as a Preschool Teacher and Residential Counselor. It was there that they received a Master’s Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and a Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I served as Dean of Students, Director of Programming, and most lately, Manager of Response to Intervention within social Schools. Now regarding aforementioned fact… I am a native Virginian, as I am a graduate of Windsor lofty School and Norfolk State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. I obtained a Master’s of Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia medic School in Norfolk.
