I disagree. Accordingly the pursuit of wealth and power had been shown in dozens of studies to be a highly inefficient method of increasing wellbeing and happiness. Motivational speakers will tell you that the money is worth the sacrifices. As a result, it’s no farstretch that most of the benefits apply to gratitude as well. With that said, gratitude is a positive emotion. While helping one feel closer to God and similar religious entities, I believe the opposite to also be true, that gratitude spontaneously gives rise to spiritual attribution.

I amirreligious, and have found gratitude practices to make my spiritual position difficult -those moments when I feel intense gratitude make me seek for to believe in a benevolent God.
